Designed to meet an ever changing market, the machine shop is a modern facility with CNC tools capable of producing intricate and tolerance critical parts from one off prototypes to high volume production runs. Gatsherrie Engineering supply machined part to a wide spectrum of industries. All facilities are shown in detail in the plant list.
The highly qualified welders and fabricators of the structural deprtment have many years experience producing a wide variety of manufactured items up to 50 Tonne. Welders are coded to BS EN 2871 and ASME 6G in a variety of metals ranging from carbon steel to chrome/moly. Work undertaken ranges from large batches of simple fabrications eg. Builders skips & bottle banks, to complex structures involving hundreds of items project managed to produce a single fabrication.
As well as more traditional methods of profile buring, Gartsherrie Engineering has also invested in a high power laser cutter which gives a very cleanly cut profile. This leads to high material efficiency and high accuracy with complex contours cut with the same ease as a straight line. |
